Probality a number that describes how likely it is that the event will occur
Punnett Square chart that shows all the possible combinations of alleles that can result from a genetic cross
Phenotype an organism physical appearance, or visible traits
Genotype an organisms genetic makeup, or allele combinations
Homozygous an organism that has 2 identical alleles for a trait
Heterzygous an organism that has 2 different alleles for a trait
Comindance an inheritance pattern
Mesios the process by which the number of chromosomes is reduced by half to form sex cells-- sperm and egg cells
Messenger RNA copies the coded message from DNA in the nucleus, and carries to the ribosome in the cytoplasm
Transfer RNA carries amino acids to the ribosome and adds them to the growing protein
Mutation any change in in a gene or chromosomes
