Term | Definition |

Climate | The average weather conditions in an area over a long period of time. |
Humidity | The amount of water vapor in the air. |
Relative Humidity | The ratio of the amount of water vapor in the air to the maximum amount of water vapor the air can hold at a set temperature. |
Cumulus Clouds | A cloud forming rounded masses heaped on each other above a flat base at fairly low altitude. |
Stratus Clouds | Cloud forming a continuous horizontal, gray sheet often with rain or snow. |
Cirrus Clouds | Cloud forming wispy filamentous tufted streaks at high altitude. |
Cyclone | A system of winds rotating inwards to an area of low atmospheric pressure with a counter clockwise or clockwise circulation. |
Anticyclone | A weather system with high atmospheric pressure at it's center, around which air slowly circulates in a clockwise or counter clockwise direction. |
Barometer | An instrument measuring atmospheric pressure, used esp. in forecasting the weather and determining altitude. |
Anamometer | An instrument for measuring the speed of wind or of any current of gas. |
