cell the basic unit of life. all living things today are made of cells or cell products.
cell membrane the outer barrier of a cell.separates a cell from its enviroment. usually composed of phosphoilpids.allows for selective passage of some molecules
vesicle a membranous usually fluid-filled sac
organic molecule molecules containing carbon,usually associated with living things.examples of organic molecules found in tested mediorite:hydro carbons,aminoacids, fatty acids, and protiens
mediorite lab a scientist found that vecicles may have been the start of life.
all living things are amde of cells,made of polymers which are made of monomers(molecules)
amino acids are the monomers of protiens.
sugars are the monomers ofcarbohydrates
fatty acids,glyceroles, and phosphates are the monomers of lipids are the monomers of lipids
a limited number of elements are found in the molecules that make up all living things. the three most common are hydrogen oxygen and carbon
phospholipids help make cell membranes. cell membranes are important because they control what enters and leaves the cell and they separate cells from their enviroment.
there are three main parts of the definiton of life: made of cells or contains membranes or enclosures.uses energy to grow (metabloisim). has the ability to grow over time
