| Volume | The amount of space an object takes up. |
| Length | The size of an object from up to down. |
| Width | The size of an object from left to right. |
| Height | How tall an object is. |
| Mass | The amount of matter an object contains. |
| Density | A physical property of matter. |
| Grams | A metric unit used to measure the mass of an object. |
| Kilograms | A metric unit used to measure the mass of an object. |
| Centimeters | A customary unit of measurement. |
| Solid | A physical property of matter with particles packed closely together. |
| Liquid | Another physical property of matter with particles that aren't packed as close together. This allows the liquid to take the shape of it's container. |
| Gas | Gas has no fixated structure and will take the shape of it's container, just like a liquid. |
| Matter | Everything that we can see and touch. |
| Meniscus | The curve in the water used in a graduated cylinder. |
| Graduated Cylinder | A cylinder used to measure the volume of water. |
