The Heart

TermDefinition
The heart functions to? Pump blood to the lungs and other parts of the body.
What type of muscle is the heart made of? Cardiac
What controls the flow of blood through the heart? Valves
What is the thick wall that separates the left and right ventricles called? Septum
Which ventricle is thicker and why? The left, because it must pump blood to the entire body, whereas the right ventricle only pumps blood to the lungs.
