ureter | carry urine from kidney's to urinary bladder |
glands | response from brain that produces hormones |
squamous | cells that are flat scale like |
mucous membrane | they contain specialized cells that produce mucus |
spleen | monitors circulating blood stimulates immune system |
integumentary system | protects your body from invasion with skin and it controls temps |
liver | secretes bile regulates blood chemistry |
involuntary muscles | perform without consciously being told to do so |
alveoli | sites of gas exchange between air and blood |
epithelial | tissue that lines and covers most of your body |
mucus | lines openings to the outside of the world |
artery | carry blood from the heart to capillaries |
pancreas | secretes digestive enzymes |
cartilage | firmer tissue than connective tissue and can with stand pressure |
epidermis | covers surface protects underlying skin |
endocrine system | acts as a control center and produce hormones |
trachea | filters air traps particles in mucus, cartilage keeps airway open |
