TermDefinition
Speed a distance traveled by an object in a given amout of time.
velocity an objects speed and direction at a given instant.
acceleration a change in an objects speed or direction over time.
force a push or pull.
balanced force occurs when the total of all forces on an objects equals zero and an objects motion does not change.
Metal a solid, shiny material that is typically hard ductile with good conductivity.
non metal an element or substance that is not a metal.
metalloid an element whose properties are intermeidiate between those of metals and solid non metals.
group a set of elements occupying a colum in the periodic table.
period a set of elements occupying the entire horizontal row in the periodic table.
law of conservation of mass matter cant be created or destroyed.
physical change occurs when the apperance changes but chemically its the same thing.
chemical change/chemical reaction recharging atoms and molecules to create a new substance.
chemical formula a short hand way of showing, writting atoms,molecules and equations
molecule when 2 or more atoms chemically combine.

beakers metal liquids
goggles protect your eyes from harmful chemicals.
