Is Karaoke legal? yes, it is okay because the karaoke company is following copyright laws and are the ones ultimately responsible, not you
using songs in movies you can use a song in a personal or private movie for school or personal use (private showing) You cannot use a song in a movie if you plan to post it online (like on YouTube) for public viewing without getting the copyright owners permission
P2P P2P is a Peer to Peer network this is when users connect with other uses to share media
Torrent is a collection of computers that is used to download big files (usually media like music and movies) much faster than normal uploading or downloading
Are P2P and Torrents Legal? P2P sites and torrents are not illegal but how people use them are usually illegal generally people use these services to illegally download media from other users on the internet
Downloading music from YouTube using a YouTube downloader/converter is illegal because you are not purchasing a copyrighted media and breaking copyright laws
Consequences for downloading music illegally Criminal penalties: up to 5 years in prison up to $250,000.00 in fines Civil penalties: legal fees and damages into the thousands lowest penalty is $750 per song
