Chapter One

Hypothesis A statement of what you think will happen during an investigation.
Observation Somthing that you find out about objects, events, or living things by using your senses.
Experiment The use of scientific methods to test your hypothesis.
Varible Something that can change in a test.
Control Group The group that doesn't get the special treatment.
Procedures Step-by-step instructions for completing a task.
Models An object that represent other things.
Surveys Questionares that are given to a number of people whos answeres are recorded.
Sampling A way to collect data by examining random individuals.
Independant Varible A varible that you can change.
Dependant Varible It is what is measured. It changes when the independant varible changes.
Experimental Group The group that gets the special treatment.
