Draft It is the first or original version or piece of writing that is used to make the final draft better. Outline I turned in my first draft for my teacher to grade.
Edit An edit is where after you finish a draft you have your self or someone else read it over and look for any mistakes or something you can do to make the piece better. Alter Once I handed in my draft my teacher edited it so my piece would be better.
Revise A revision is where you look over your writting piece and make any necessary edits. Modify I had my friend revise my story for any modifications I needed to make.
Rewrite A rewrite is where after you have gotten your corrected draft, you rewrite your piece using the modifications you made when you or someone revised it. Rework Once I got my revised draft back I rewrote it.
Polished Copy A polished copy is the final draft or copy that has no mistakes in it and it is ready to be published. Final Draft After rewriting it and revising it
Plot It's the story or the baseline of the movie or book that includes the climax,rising action, characters and settings. Layout When I started to write my story, after brainstroming I worked on the plot.
Exposition An exposition is the begining of the story,it's usually the place where the reader learns about the setting and the characters. Beginning When I was writing my story I started with exposition.
Conflict The conflict of a story is a problem or struggle the character(s) have. If there is no conflict what is the point of the story. Struggle When I was writing a small moment about myself I was trying to think about my conflict in that point of my moment.
Rising Action A rising action is where the problem gets worse and worse until the climax. A problem getting worse. Today the bulliying got worse than yesterday.
Climax The most exicting, nail bitting part. This is the part after the rising action where everything gets intense, ex. a war, a fight. Turning Point One day after being bullied and ridculed, I finally stood up for myself.
Falling Action This is the part after the climax or the turning point,this is the part where the almost wrap up the problem or the story. After After I stood up for myself, I haven't gotten bullied ever since.
Resolution This is the part where the climax or problem is resolved. Verdict I had a problem with my friends and after we met with a teacher, our problems were resolved.
Transition A transition is a point or time where you are changing from an idea to a different one. Progress When I was writing my story I had to transition from chapter one to chapter two.
Pacing Pacing is the speed of your story, or how fast you are going to the climax or how fast the rising action, climax and falling action go. Stride I was pacing my self when I was writing my story so I didn't leave out something important.
Dialogue It's a conversation between the characters in the story, you use quotations when using dialogue corretly. Conversation When I was writing my story I was sure to add correct dialogue. Conversation When I was writing my story I was sure to add dialogue
Orient To write in a way so the reader can figure out where the character(s) are, who is going to be in it and clues. Determine When I was writing my story, in the beginning I was sure to orient it enough for the reader.
Exaggeration An exaggeration is where the real truth is streched or added on to. Excess When I was telling my friends about what I got at the mall and how much it costs, I wass exaggerating.
