chemical formula a representation of a substance using symbols for its constituent elements
Chemical Name A chemical nomenclature is a set of rules to generate systematic names for chemical compounds.
Covalent Compound A covalent bond is a chemical bond that involves the sharing of electron pairs between atoms
Endothermic (of a reaction or process) accompanied by or requiring the absorption of heat.
Exothermic (of a reaction or process) accompanied by the release of heat.
Ionic Compound An ionic compound is a chemical compound in which ions are held together in a lattice structure by ionic bonds
Ionic Lattice A large uniformed group of Ions that are fixed together through Electrostatic Attraction
Molecule a group of atoms bonded together, representing the smallest fundamental unit of a chemical compound that can take part in a chemical reaction.
multivalent Metal A multivalent metal has a valence of at least three or higher. Some of the multivalent metals include lead, iron, copper, tin, and mercury
polyatomic ion A polyatomic ion, also known as a molecular ion, is a charged chemical species composed of two or more atoms covalently bonded
Roman Numeral any of the letters representing numbers in the Roman numerical system. Used in chemistry to display the multivalent metals.
