observation recovering and noting some FACT to gather informaion abut the world. Observations must be specific and accurate, no relative, so that it means he same to everone.

dependent variable change that responds to the iv. This change depends on the iv. This change is the data collected or data meusured to determine if the iv has an effect. This change happens after the iv.
constant the factors that must stay the same in order for the experiment to be a fair test. The experimenter may only change one variable-the iv-all other facors must stay the same
control standard of comparison
fair test an experiment that changes only one factor
repeated trials completing an experiment many times. This is done to make the experiment a fair test
