cytoplasm This is the gel like material found in a cell.
eukaryotic cell This is a cell that has a nucleus.
multicellular This is an organism that is made up of more than one cell.

photosynthesis This porcess uses carbon dioxide to create sugar.
prokaryotic cell This is a cell that does not contain a nucleus.
respiration The process that uses oxygen to break down sugars.
unicellular This is an organism made up of one cell.
microscope This invention enabled cells to be discovered.
selective permeability This is when cell membranes only allow some materials to pass through.
alleles These are all of the possible genes for specific trait.
phenotype This is the way on organism looks.
genotype This is the inherited information that living organisms have
growth Cell division can cause this in an organism.
passive transport This is when a substance moves from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration.
active transport This is when a substance moves from an area of low concentration to an area of high concentration.
chlorophyll This is the chemical in plants that is responsible for photosynthesis.
