Bulimia Eating disorder characterized byt binge eating and then purging with the use of laxatives and vomiting. INDICATED
Cholecystitis Inflammation of the gallbladder often caused by gallstones in the gallbladder or bile duct. CONTRAINDICATION
Cirrhosis Chronic disease of the liver causing liver dysfunction. INDICATED
Colorectal cancer Cancer of the colon often beginning in benign polyps in the lining of the intestine. INDICATED
Constipation Difficult or infrequent defecation. INDICATED
Crohn's disease Chronic inflammatory bowel disease affecting the ileum and or colon. CONTRAINDICATED
Diarrhea Passing of frequent watery bowel movements. ABDOMINAL MASSAGE CONTRAINDICATED
Diverticulitis Inflammation of a diverticulum in the intestinal tract frequently in the colon. GENERAL CONTRAINDICATION IN ACUTE PHASE. CONTRAINDICATION FOR ABDOMINAL
Diverticulosis Condition of having diverticula in the intestinal tract which increases the possibility of one or more becoming inflamed leading to diverticulitis. CONTRAINDICATION FOR ABDOMINAL
Dyspepsia Indigestion. CONTRAINDICATION FOR ABDOMINAL
Enteritis Inflammation of the small intestine. GENERAL CONTRAINDICATION
Esophageal stricture Narrowing of the esophagus making it difficult to swallow foods or liquids. NONE
Gastritis Inflammation of the stomach. GENERAL CONTRAINDICATION
Gastroenteritis Inflammation of the stomach and small intestine. GENERAL CONTRAINDICATION
Gastroesophageal reflux disease Inflammation and pain caused by stomach acid backing up into the esophagus. CONTRAINDICATION FOR ABDOMINAL
Hemorrhoids Varicose veins in the rectum. NONE
Hepatitis Inflammation of the liver generally due to a viral infection. MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Hiatal hernia Abnormal protrusion of the upper portion of the stomach into the chest cavity through an opening of the diaphragm called esophageal hiatus. CONTRAINDICATION FOR ABDOMINAL
inflammatory bowel disease Chronic inflammatory condition with multiple ulcers forming on the mucous membrane of the colon. CONTRAINDICATION FOR ABDOMINAL
Inguinal hernia Abnormal protrusion of a portion of the small intestines into the inguinal area through a weak spot in the abdominal wall that becomes a hole. CONTRAINDICATION FOR ABDOMINAL
Irritable bowel syndrome Disturbance in intestinal function from unknown causes. CONTRAINDICATION FOR ABDOMINAL
Pancreatic cancer Cancer of the pancreas usually arising from the exocrine glands. INDICATED
Peptic ulcer disease Ulcer occurring in the lining of the lower esophagus stomach or duodenum. CONTRAINDICATION FOR ABDOMINAL
Polyps Painful burning sensation generally caused by stomach acid splashing up into the esophagus. CONTRAINDICATION FOR ABDOMINAL
Volvulus Painful condition in which the bowel twists upon itself causing an obstruction. MEDICAL EMERGENCY
