A connective tissue that produces red and white blood cells is called? bone marrow, the soft center inside a bone
Where do bones meet? at joints
At joints, bones are attaced to each other and? muscles

What do cells do? they work together to form basic life processes that keep an organism alive
Every cell is enclosed by a thin covering called the? cell membrane - which holds the cells together
What determines the cells activities? the nucleus
What is between the cell membrane and the nucleus? the cytoplasm - a jelly like substance containing chemicals to keep the cell functioning
What is the process of diffussion? a particle of a substance moves from an area where there are a lot of the substance to an area where there are fewer particles of the substance
Where does diffusion of materials into and out of cells take place? through the cell membrane
What is osmosis? the movement of water and dissolved material through cell membranes
Cells work together to perform a specific function, which is? to form a tissue
What are the 4 kinds of tissue? muscles, nervous, connective, and epithethial
What are tissues that work together called? organs
Organs that work together to perform a function form a? system
