How is the periodic table arranged? Groups and Periods
What is an Atomic Number? Total amount of protons in an element
What is Atomic Mass? total protons and neutrons of an element
What does inert mean? Valence electrons are full
What are the subatomic particles? neutrons, protons, and electrons
What is a bohr model? a small model representing protons, electrons, and neutrons
Differences between chemical and physical changes? Chemical forms a new subtance; while physical changes a subtance into a new state
What is a molecule? a team of atoms; can be the same kind of atom
What is a subscript? A number written below and to the right of a chemical symbol.
What is frequency? How many waves pass by in one second.
What are light years? Distance light travels in one years.
Electromagnetic waves Infrared- Temperature Visible light- Light you can see
Potential and Kinetic energy Potential is stored energy and kinetic is energy in motion
H-R Diagram Diagram used to compare brightness to temperature
What is speed? Distance traveled divided by time
What is velocity Speed, time and direction
What are balanced forces? Forces that are pushing or pulling with the same amount of force.
What are unbalanced forces? Forces that are pushing or pulling with a different amount of force.
