How water changes form (solid, liquid, gas), and moves through the world. water cycle
water falling from the sky (rain, snow, sleet or hail) precipitation
water vapor (gas) cools, collects as a liquid, and sticks to a solid surface. condensation

surface water moves down through the soil infiltration/percolation
when plants move water from the soil up to its roots uptake
when plants release water into the air through its leaves - sweating transpiration
percipitation runs over the ground and collects in surface waters runoff
a closed system with plants, soil and water that is self-contained terrarium
