What does BMI stands for and what is it calculated as? Body Weight/Mass index. The ratio of weight to hight squared

Read and write out the limitations of the BMI categories
What are the 4 predictors of weight loss? Very low calorie diet, fat absorption blocking medications, time spent exercising, psychological interventions
Anorexia's literal meaning is...? no desire (to eat)
Bulimia's literal meaning is...? really hungry
Nervosa's literal meaning is...? nervous in origins
Look over the criteria for anorexia and bulimia :)
What do dysmorphic and eating disorders have in common? They both have feelings about control and feelings about ones body
The definition for body image is an individuals conceptualization of their body including....? perceptions (size and shape), beliefs (value put on looking good) and feelings (attractiveness of parts or overall)
The is a gender difference between the media impact on girls and the media impact on boys. What does each gender think is ideal? Women and girls think thin is ideal and Men and boys think muscle is ideal
Read over what they found from the focus group study on men and boys..and what the limitations of this study were. :)
