What is the pH scale? The logarithm of the reciprocal of hydrogen-ion concentration in gram atoms per liter
What are indicators? Indicates the state or level of something
What is litmus paper? Paper stained with litmus, used to indicate the acidity or alkalinity of a substance.
What is pH paper? : A pH indicator is a halochromic chemical compound that is added in small amounts
What are acids? A chemical substance that neutralizes alkalis, dissolves some metals
What are bases? The lowest part or edge of something, esp. the part on which it rests or is supported.
Compare and contrast acids and bases. Acids form Hydrogen ions when dissloved in water, and bases reduce the concentration of hydgoren ions in a solution
Give 3 examples of bases. Bleach, Soap, Ammonia.
What does the arrow stand for in a chemical reaction? The = sign.
What are products? An article or substance that is manufactured or refined for sale.
