Human Body Systems Test Review

Endocrine System function:uses Chemicals to regulate body processes. Major organs: Glands:adrenal,thyroid, pancreas
Respiratory System Supplies the body with oxygen by breathing and removes carbon dioxide. Major Organs: Nasal Cavity, Trachea, Bronchi, lungs, alveoli.
Circulatory System Function; Moves materials around the body. Major Organs: Heart, veins, arteries, capillaries and blood.
Digestive System Function: Break down food and absorb nutrients the body needs. Major Organs: Mouth, Esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and anus.
Excretory System Function: gets rid of waste Major Organs (systems):Intgumentary, digestive, respiratory and urinary systems
Skeletal System Function:Structure, supports, protection, and aids in movement. Major organs: Bones, cartilage & ligaments
Muscular System Function: helps Body move Major Organs: Muscles and tendons
Integumentary (skin) System Regulates body temperature and protects body from outside contaminates.
Nervous System Function: Controls thinking, senses, sends and receives signals. Major Organs: Central nervous System: Brain and spinal cord; peripheral. Nervous system: sensory organs and nerves.
