What is the difference between distilled and tap water? Tap water is not a pure substance. Tap water has other particles in it. Some of these substances come from the pipes.Distilled water does not have these other substances.
What is a Mixture? A mixture matter that contains two or more pure substances mixed together.
What makes a substance a mixture? A mixture is a substance that are made by many different particles.A mixture is made of two or more pure substances mixed together.
What is an example of a mixture? Cow milks is an example of a mixture.
What are some substances in cows milk? Some of the substances in cows milk is: Water,Lactose,Fat,Protein,Minerals and Vitamins.
How does a pure substance become a mixture? You have to combine both pure substances.
What are some examples of familiar mixtures? Some of examples are: Steel,Batteries,Juice,Air,Concrete.
What is a warning about mixtures that people should know? Mixtures can contain pure substances that are dangerous.
What are the two names of pure substances that are dangerous and in batteries and certain light bulbs? The two names of the dangerous pure substances are mercury and lead.
What is important when disposing pure substances? You must separate and recycle these dangerous parts.
Where should you take these dangerous parts? You would have to take them to a special recycling stations.
