Law of Conservation of Mass states that the mass of an isolated system (closed to all matter and energy) will remain constant over time.
Physical Change changes affecting the form of a chemical substance, but do not change the chemical composition of that substance.
Chemical Change it occurs when a substance combines with another to form a new substance.
Element Simpilest form of matter that cannot be broken down.
Chemical Formula A faster way of showing/writing atoms, molecules, and equations. and show the type and quantity of atoms and molecules that are present.
Element (Diatomic) Molecule a molecule of only one type of atom with a #2 subscript.
Compound Molecule a molecule thats made up of more than 1 type of atom.
Chemical Equation a way of describing a chemical reaction.
Chemical Reaction a process that leads to the transformation of one set of chemical substances to another.
Reactants (of a chemical equation) substances that go through a chemical change.
Products (of a chemical equation) substances that results from a chemical change.
Coefficient (in a chemical equation) tells the number of molecules in a formula, equation, or even a compound molecule. a blank one means theres only one.
Subscript (in a chemicle equation) tells the number of a certain type of atom in a molecule.
