What is the Law of Conservation of Mass? Matter cannot be created or destroyed.
What is Physical Change? Change in the physical properties of a substance.
What is a Chemical Change? Rearrangement of the atoms of a substance and a change in their chemical properties.
What is a Element? A material which cannot be broken down or changed into another substance.
What is a Chemical Formula? An expression which states the number and type of atoms present in a molecule of a substance.
What is a Diatomic Molecule? Diatomic molecules are molecules composed only of two atoms either the same or different chemical elements.
What is a Compound Molecule? Contains at at least two different elements.
What is a Chemical Equation? A chemical equation is a written visual that occurs in a chemical reaction
What is a Chemical Reaction? A chemical reaction occurs when one or more chemicals react to become different chemicals.
What are Reactants? They are on the left side of the equation with an arrow pointing to the substances being formed on the right.
What are Products? When two substances react and their atoms in their molecules change, making a product.
What is a Coeffient? The number of molecules of each reactant and product.
What is a Subscript? Number of atoms of an element in each bit.
