Moral Theology a study of the principles and actions revealed to us by Jesus and taught by the Church that will lead us to a happy life on earth and to heaven.
Divine Revelation All moral theology comes from Divine Revelation. That is where God reveals Himself somehow to us
Materialist Materialist believe only in a material world explained by laws of nature, if you can’t experience it, observe it, or measure it, then it does not exist.
Intellect Intellect, seeks to know the Truth
Sacred Scripture Sacred Scripture is the inspired Word of God recorded in the Bible.
Sacred Tradition Sacred Tradition refers to the living transmission of the Catholic faith through the teaching, life, and worship of the Church.
Magisterium The official teaching authority of the Church is called the Magisterium.
Deposit of Faith The Deposit of Faith is the total gift of God’s revelation. It’s two main parts are Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture. These two gifts are safeguarded by the Magisterium.
