Acute Angle | An angle with a measure between 0 and 90 degrees. |
Alternate exterior angles | Congruent angles formed by two parallel lines cut by a transversal; located on opposite sides of the transversal outside the parallel lines |
Alternate interior angles | Congruent angles formed by two parallel lines cut by a transversal; located on opposite sides of the transversal between the parallel lines |
Complementary Angles | Two or more angles whose measures have the sum 90. |
Congruent Angles | Angles that have equal measures. |
Corresponding angles | Congruent angles formed by two parallel lines cut by a transversal; positioned on matching "corners" of intersections |
Parallel Lines | Lines that will never intersect. |
Perpendicular Lines | Lines that meet at a 90 degree angle |
Obtuse Angle | An angle with a measure between 90 and 180 degrees. |
Right Angle | An angle with measure of 90 degrees. |
Supplementary angles | Two or more angles that have a sum of 180 degrees |
Transversal | A line that intersects two or more lines at different points. |
Vertical angles | Congruent opposite angles formed by two intersecting lines |
Angle (and Vertex) | A figure formed by two rays that have the same endpoint. The two rays are called the sides of the angle. Their common endpoint is the vertex. |
