Common Denominator | Two fractions with the same denominator. |
Common Factor | When comparing two or more numbers it is the numbers in a factor rainbow that are in common with each other. |
Equivalent Fraction | Two or more fractions that name the same number. |
Greatest Common Factor | The largest counting number that is a factor of both numbers. |
Improper Fraction | A fraction that is greater than or equal to 1. |
Least Common Denominator (LCD) | When finding the multiples of 2 or more denominators in fractions, it is smallest multiple in common when comparing the denominators of each fraction. |
Least Common Multiple | The smallest number that is a multiple of two or more numbers. |
Mixed Number | A number that is written using both a whole number and a fraction. |
Proper Fraction | A fraction where the numerator is less than the denominator. It is a number less than 1. |
Quick Common Denominator | The product of the denominator of two or more fractions. |
Simplest Form | Also known as lowest terms. It is a fraction where the numerator and denominator can not be divided by a number bigger than one. It is as small as it can get. |
