solvent | a substance that dissolves a solute to form a solution |
concentration | the amount of solute dissolved in a specific amount of solvent in a solution |
unsaturated solution | solution in which more solute can be dissolved at a given amount |
saturated solution | solution in which no more solute can be dissolved in a given volume of solvent at a given temperature |
solubilty | the ability to dissolve |
saturation point | the point at which no more solute can dissolve in the solvent |
aqueous solution | solution which the solvent is water |
particle model of matter | model that explains the behaviour of solids, liquids, and gases |
