| Mass | The amount of matter in an object |
| Time of impact | Time in which a collision takes place; if it is increased, the force of impact will decrease |
| Velocity | Also known as speed, how quickly an object is covering distance; The slope of a distance vs. time graph |
| Impulse | Changes the momentum of an object; force applied x time of impact (Ft) |
| Momentum | Interia in motion; product of mass and velocity; Momentum= Mass*Velocity |
| Acceleration | Rate at which velocity changes |
