Biconditional | A statement combining a conditional and its converse. |
Addition property of equality | If x = 7, then x + 3 = 10. |
Subtraction property of equality | If x = 10, then x - 7 = 3 |
Multiplication property of equality | If x = 2, then 2x = 4 |
Division property of equality | If 2x = 4, then x = 2. |
Substitution property | If x = 3 and x + y = 7, then 3 + y = 7. |
Equality | Numbers, variables, lenths, angle measures. |
Congruence | Segments, angles, polygons. |
Reflexive property | DE = DE m<1 = m<1. |
Symmetric property | If DE = AB, then AB = DE. If m<1 = m<2, then m<2 = m<1. |
Transitive property | If m<1 = m<2 and m<2 = m<3, then m<1 = m<3. |
