Question | Answer |
Weight | The amount or quantity of heaviness or mass; amount a thing weighs. |
Volume | The amount of space, measured in cubic units, that an object or substance occupies. |
Density | The amount of matter inside an object or given volume. |
Accuracy | the extent to which a given measurement agrees with the standard value for that measurement. |
Presision | The extent to which a given set of measurements of the same sample agree with their mean. |
Percentage Error | The approximation error in some data is the discrepancy between an exact value and some approximation to it. An approximation error can occur because the measurement of the data is not precise. |
Significant Figure | Any digit of a number that is known with certainty; any digit of a number beginning with the leftmost non-zero digit and ending with the rightmost non-zero digit. |
Scientific Notation | A method for expressing a given quantity as a number having significant digits necessary for a specified degree of accuracy, multiplied by 10 to the appropriate power. |
