Equation | A sentence stating 2 expressions are equal. |
Formula | An equation stating that a single variable is equal to an expression with one or more different variables on the other side. |
Dependent Variable | A variable whose value always depends on the value(s) of another variable. |
Independent Variable | A variable upon whose value other variables depend. |
A Function | ...is a pairing between two variables such that the value of the first variable corresponds to exactly one value of the second variable. |
Domain | Allowable values for the x(first) variable. |
Range | Allowable values for the y(second) variable. |
