| Term | Definition |
| Arithmetic Sequence | A number sequence formed by adding a fixed number to each previous term to find the next term. |
| Common Difference | The difference between consecutive terms of an arithmetic sequence. |
| Continuous | A graph that is unbroken. The domain consists of all real numbers. |
| Discrete | A graph composed of isolated points. The domain consists of specific values such as integers or natural numbers. |
| Domain | The set of input values for which the function is defined. x-values. |
| Explicit Formula | Expresses the nth term of a sequences in terms of n. |
| Function | A relationship where each input is related to exactly one output. |
| Integers | The set of whole numbers and their opposites and zero. |
| Recursive Formula | Defines the terms in a sequence by relating each term to the ones before it. It is composed of an initial value and a rule for generating the sequence. |
| Sequence | ordered list of numbers that often form a pattern. |
