A line is | A series of points that extend in opposite directions without ending! |
A Ray is | part of a line with one endpoint and all the points of the line on one side of the endpoint |
A segment is | part of a line with two end points and all the points inbetween |
A plane is | a flat that extends indefinitely in all directions and has no thickness |
Intersecting lines are | lines that have exactly 1 point in common |
Parallel lines are | lines in the same plane that never intersect |
Skew lines | lines in different planes they are neither parallel nor intersecting |
An angle is | A figure formed by two rays with a common endpoint |
A vertex is | the point of intersection of two sides of an angle or figure |
Adjacent angles are | angles that share a vertex and a side but have no interior points in common |
Vertical angles are | angles that have a congruent angle formed by two intersecting lines and opposite each other |
Complementory angle is | an angle that measures/ adds up to 90 degrees |
supplementory angles are | angles that add up to 180 |
Congruent angles are | angles with equal measure |
Congruent sides are | sides that have the same length |
