| Groups that have the same number of objects - see words like rows, packages, bags, boxes, shelves | |
| Factor | a number that is multiplied by another number to find a product |
| Identity Property of Multiplication | The product of any number and 1 is that number. a x 1 = a |
| multiply | The operation of repeated addition of the same number. |
| multiple | The product of a whole number and any other whole number. |
| Zero Property of Multiplication | The product of any number and zero is zero. |
| product | the answer to a multiplication problem |
| array | An arrangement of objects in equal rows. |
| inverse operations | operations that undo each other, such as addition and subtraction or multiplication and division |
| fact family | A group of related facts that use the same numbers |
| missing factor | the number that makes a multiplication equation true when given one factor and the product |
| arrange | To put in a certain order, to display |
| equation | A mathematical sentence that contains an equals sign which shows the two mathematical expressions are equal (balanced) |
| display | to show, to arrange |
| factor pair | Two whole numbers that are multiplied to get a product |
| column | the vertical, equal groups in an array |
| row | the horizontal, equal groups in an array |
| situation | story, event, or scenario that can be solved with math |
| times as many | Multiply as many times. (3 times as many is same as 3 x ) |
