Pythagorean theorem | a formula for finding the length of a side of a right triangle when you know the lengths of the other sides: a2 + b2 + c2 |
Pythagorean triple | three positive whole numbers that satisfy the pythagorean theorem: the numbers can be the measures of the sides of a right triangle. |
distance formula | a way to find the distance between two points using the Pythagorean theorem |
45*-45*-90* triangle | a right triangle whose acute angles both measure 45* |
