Term | Definition |
Apartment | a room or a group of related rooms, among similar sets in one building, designed for use as a dwelling; used by one person or a family |
features | something offered as a special attraction; such as patio, dishwasher, furnished, unfurnished |
landlord | a person or organization that owns and leases apartments to others |
lease | a contract renting land, buildings, etc., to another; |
location | a place of residence |
premises | a building together with its grounds |
property | what a person owns |
rental agreement | a written agreement which explains the terms and conditions for renting |
responsibility | being reliable or dependable, especially in making payments. |
security deposit | an amount of money you pay your landlord, or management company, to cover any damage you might cause to the property. |
sublet | to let another person rent your apartment you are renting |
tenant | a person or group that rents and occupies a house or apartment, from another for a period of time |
terms | conditions for payment, price, charge, rates, etc.: |
utilities | a public service, as a telephone or electric-light system, etc. |
