| Chemical Change | A change that will result in the formation of a new chemical substance |

| Decomposition Reaction | A reaction where a complex chemical breaks down into its chemical parts |
| Single Replacement Reaction | A reaction where one atom takes the place of another in a single pair |
| Double Replacement Reaction | A reaction where two chemicals swap their parts with each other to form two new chemicals |
