First know to graph a circle you must write it in the form of (x-h)^2 +(y-k)^2=r^2 | Now in its new form we seek the center (h,k). |
Remember that (-h,-k)`s signs will always be the opposite from their position in the equation. | (x-h)^2 +(y-k)^2=r^2 |
r^2 | simply the radius squared. |
Graphing the circle. center: (h,k) radius:r^2 (h) will represent (x) and (k) will represent (y).Radius will circle around the point (h,k). | plot (h,k) on to the (x,y)graph.Then for radius what ever the radius may be you must move that amount from the center, in all for main directions of the graph. |
