Neutron | A subatomic particle that has no charge and that is located in nucleus of an atom. |
Electron | A subatomic particle that has a negative charge. |
Period | A horizontal row of elements in the periodic table. |
Group | A vertical column of elements in the periodic table. |
Family | Has own characteristic properties depending on the numbers of valence electrons. |
Atomic Mass | The mass of an atom expressed in atomic mass units. |
Atomic Numbers | The number of protons in the nucleus of an atom. |
Noble Gas | One of the elements of Group 18 of the periodic table;unreative. |
Zig-Zag Line | Lines formed by short sharp turn. |
Natural Elements | The basic fundamental elements that make up our world. |
Synthetic Elements | A unstable element. |
Isotope | Any 2 or more forms of a chemical element. |
Ion | An atom or molecule w/ a net electromagnetic due to the loss of one or more electrons. |
