Term | Definition |
Algebraic Expressions | A combination of variables, numbers, and at least one operation. |
Variable | A symbol, usually a letter used to represent a number. |
Commutative Property | the order in which numbers are added or multiplyed does not change the sum or product. |
Associative Property | The way in which numbers are grouped does not change the sum or product. |
Equivalent expressions | expressions that have the same value. |
Evaluate | to find the value of an algebric expression by replacing variables with numbers |
Order of Operations | The rules that tell which operation to perform first when more than one operation is used. |
Coefficient | the numerical factor of a term that contains a variable. |
constant | nonstop on going, never stops going |
Operation | is a mission or an order to do something important |
Substitute | is a second to the original, something that takes some ones place temporarily. |
