distribution   The distribution of a data set shows how the data are spread out, where there are gaps, where there are lots of values, and where there are only a few values.

histogram   A bar graph in which data are divided into equal intervals, with a bar for each interval. The height of each bar shows the number of data values in that interval.

line plot   A number line with X's indicating the number of times each data occurs.

mean   The nuymber you get by distributing the total of the values in a data set among the members of the data set. You can compute the mean by adding the values and dividing the total by the number of values.

median   The middle value when all the values in a data set are ordered from least to greatest.

mode   The value in a data set that occurs most often.  
🗑
outlier   A value that is much greater than or much less than most of the other values in a data set.

range   The difference between the minimum and maximum values of a data set is the range.

stem-and-leaf plot   A visual display of data that groups data, but also allows you to read individual values.  
🗑
frequency   Frequencies are counts of the number of data values in various intervals.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
 
To hide a column, click on the column name.
 
To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.
 
You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.
 
Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
