Question
Answer
motion   the change of position of an object, by the action of a force
🗑
speed   distance traveled in a certain amount of time (distance divided by time)
🗑
velocity   the speed of an object ALONG WITH the direction it is traveling
🗑
force   a push or a pull
🗑
speed equation   speed = distance/time (speed equals distance divided by time)
🗑
acceleration   the situation of speeding up (increasing velocity), slowing down (decreasing velocity), or changing direction
🗑
momentum   how hard it is to stop an object (depends on BOTH the mass and velocity of an object)
🗑
mass   the amount of matter (atoms) in an object
🗑
inertia   an object's resistance to change in motion (ONLY depends on the mass of an object)
🗑
dependent variable   that data that you are gathering, goes on the Y-axis
🗑
independent variable   information known ahead that you choose, goes on the X-axis (time is almsot always independent)
🗑
extrapolation   finding values not collected that are out beyond (or before) the graphed data
🗑
interpolation   finding values not collected that are in between the graphed data
