inverse   An operation that checks the answer to another operation, the oppositie operation. Division and multiplication are inverse operations. Addition and subtraction are inverse operations.

decimal point   This separates the place values. 23.45; the . between the 3 and the 4 is the decimal point.

align   Line up. You must align, or line up the decimal points when adding or subtracting decimals.
