Numerator | The number above or to the left of the fraction bar. 3/10

Denominator | The number below or to the rifght of the fraction bar 3/10. The denominator names the number of parts in the whole.

Whole | The entire piece. For example a whole pizza.

Unit Fraction | When a whole number is divided into equal parts, the unit fraction has a 1 as its numerator and names one of those equal parts.

Improper Fraction | A fraction that is equal or greater than 1. (Numerator is the same or larger then teh denominator)

Mixed Number | A number that contains a whole number and a fraction.

Equivalent fraction | A fraction that is equal to another fraction. Equivalent fractions are found by multiplying or dividing the numerator and denominator by the SAME number.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
