Area   the measurement of the space inside the object

Composite Figure   An irregular shape that can be split into familiar shapes such as rectangles, triangles, and circles in order to find the area

Parallelogram   This is a quadrilateral that contains two pairs of parallel sides.

Polygon   This is a closed figure formed by three or more line segments that do not cross over each other.

Quadrilateral   A polygon with 4 sides.

Rectangle   This is a quadrilateral with four congruent angles (all 90°).

Height   the measurement from base to top (feet to head)

Base   The bottom line of a shape, but can also be the top of the shape if the bottom and the top are parallel.
