Analyzing Linear Equations

Rate   a ratio in which the two quantities being measured are in different units

y-intercept   the coordinates of a point where a graph crosses the y-axis

Direct Variation   a proportional relationship where the graph is a straight line that goes through the origin

Point-Slope Form   a linear equation: m(x-x1)=(y-y1), where (x1, y1) is a point the graph passes through and m is the slope

Standard Form   a linear equation: Ax+By=C, where A, B, and C are constants and A and B are not both zero
