points   a point refers usually to an element of some set called a space.

lines   A line is a straight one-dimensional figure having no thickness and extending infinitely in both directions.

line segments   a line segment is a part of a line that is bounded by two distinct end points, and contains every point on the line between its end points.

right angle   A right angle is equal to 90 degrees

acute angle   An angle that measures less than ninety degrees but more than zero degrees.

perpendicular lines   Perpendicular means "at right angles". A line meeting another at a right angle, or 90° is said to be perpendicular to it.

parallel lines   Parallel lines are two lines that are always the same distance apart and never touch. In order for two lines to be parallel, they must be drawn in the same plane, a perfectly flat surface like a wall or sheet of paper.
