Dissociation   =Seperation=Bases seperate to form a positive ion and hydroxide ion.

pH Scale   A scale that measures how acidic or basic a substance is. This ranges from 0-14

Indicator   Something that reveals the pH of a particular substance, or whether it is acidic or basic. Usually done by changing colors

Buffer   A substance that minimizes the changes in pH for a solution

Litmus Paper   the paper that changes color to determine if a substance is acidic or basic
