| To solve 2x – 3y = –2 4x + y = 24 you need to solve for y in the second equation by getting the equation to equal y. What would the new equation be? | 4x + y = 24

| To solve for x you put the second equation into the y value of the first equation and solve. The steps to solve for x would be? | 2x – 3(–4x + 24) = –2

14x = 70
x = 5
