One Mole | 6.022 x 10^23 units
🗑
Mole Ratio | Ratio of moles of one substance to moles of another substance. Can be determined by coefficients in a balanced chemical equation.
🗑
Stoichiometry | Using a balanced chemical equation to determine relative masses of reactants and products in a reaction. Calculations follow Mass → Moles → Moles → Mass. You use the molar mass, then mole ratio, then molar mass of the product you are trying to find.
🗑
Limiting Reactant | The reactant that runs out first and LIMITS how much product you can produce. It is completely used up when the reaction is complete.
🗑
Theoretical Yield | The predicted amount of product you think you will have once all of the limiting reactant is completely used up.(This will be your answer at the end of stoichiometry problems where you find how much of something you should be able to create).
🗑
Percent Yield | The actual yield of a product divided by the theoretical yield, multiplied by 100.
Ex: You recover 92 g of HCl and you were theoretically supposed to get 100 g HCl. Percent Yield = 92/100 x 100 = 92%
🗑
Actual Yield | The amount of product you are actually left with after a reaction. It is usually less than the theoretical yield.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
To hide a column, click on the column name.
To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.
You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.
Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
